Exfoliating, mildly detoxifying, skin-repairing goodness.
Can you feel the softer, hydrated skin yet?
Read on to check out for yourself why using a scrub is vitally important to your skin health, and why you need to be cautious of making your own.
Here’s some of our favorite reasons to start scrubbin’:
~ Remove top layers of dead skin cells to promote new cell growth
~ Hydrate skin with high-fat beneficial oils
~ Soften skin
~ Decrease skin irritation
~ Give skin vitamins
The real kicker here is this though—when the top layers of dead skin are removed and new cell growth is promoted, you are contributing to anti-aging and encouraging skin vitality!
Y’all, this bandwagon has benefits. Each of our scrub varieties have their own perks too. Such as:
~ Balancing pH of skin
~ Calming skin
~ Promoting relaxation
~ Enhancing and brightening face tone
~ Tightening skin
~ Reducing cellulite
We also totally understand that whipping up a scrub is an attractive DIY project, but be aware that using the wrong type of ingredients can cause damage to skin rather than have a therapeutic effect. Micro-tearing, for instance, is a major concern that clearly affects the skin. When an exfoliating agent is too sharp or jagged, it goes beyond exfoliating and actually causes small tears to the skin. Yikes!
Using the wrong type of oil can also strip a scrub of its benefit. High-fat oils like coconut oil and olive oil, for example, must be extra-virgin, cold-pressed, not contain processed filler Omega-6 oils (like vegetable, corn, or canola oils), and come from a trustworthy source to be maximally effective, the way they were meant to be.
And that’s exactly what we want – maximally effective natural products that leave your skin healthier than ever before, without any added junk. Our scrubs are an integral piece of that! You can check them our on our website here.
Did you know that we have customers that drive 40+ minutes just to get our coffee scrub? They can’t get enough!
So, you can bet that we’ll be making scrubs whether or not they’re trendy!
