This natural deodorant only contains 4 ingredients, all of which soothe the sensitive underarm skin and are COMPLETELY non-toxic. These ingredients are chosen for specific reasons, and they all benefit your underarms!
Peppermint oil packs the anti-bacterial, odor-defying punch, while anti-inflammatory, high-fat coconut oil softens skin and can reduce underarm redness. Arrowroot powder is soft and fluffy and absorbs moisture and odors. And a secret weapon of lavender essential oil is added to repair skin and balance scent. If you read your conventional deodorant/anti-perspirant’s ingredient label closely, you may be surprised at what sweat protection, skin conditioners, odor absorbers, and fragrances look like by their chemical names. Here is a compiled list of ingredients found in typical, name-brand womens’ and mens’ deodorants/antiperspirants in convenience and grocery stores: Aluminum Chlorohydrate, Butane, Hydrofluorocarbon 152A, Cyclopentasiloxane, Isobutane, Ppg-14 Butyl Ether, Disteardimonium Hectorite, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Fragrance, Propane, Bht, Octyldodecanol, Propylene Carbonate, Dimethiconol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Cyclopentasiloxane, Isopropyl Palmitate, Stearyl Alcohol, Mineral Oil, Talc, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Fragrance (Parfum), Steareth-100, BHT, Aluminum salts, Petrolatum, Stearyl Alcohol, Behenyl Alcohol, Cyclodextrin, C20-40 Pareth-10, PPG-3 Myristl Ether, Propylene Glycol, Dipropylene Glycol, Tetrasodium EDTA, Blue 1, Green 6, Violet 2, Green 5, Yellow 10, Aluminum Zirconium Tetrachlorohydrex GLY, Polyethylene Some antiperspirant deodorants did contain sunflower oil, aloe, corn starch, or natural plant extracts among the tangle of above ingredients, however as a whole you are still applying horrible chemicals on your underarms and absorbing them through the body. The toxicity of standard deodorant/antiperspirant ingredients is hotly debated, and ultimately it is up to you to decide what you protect your pits with. Take a look at your current deodorant and check out what's in it! Are you using natural deodorant already? Check if there's baking soda in there (sodium bicarbonate) - this abrasive ingredient does absorb odors, however it is damaging to the delicate underarm skin and is used as a primary ingredient in scrubbing cleaning products. Not my ideal ingredient for the skin. If you’re thinking about or already planning to switch from a regular deodorant to a natural, non-toxic one like ours, don’t be discouraged if the transition takes a little while. Our bodies get into the routines we establish, and it may take a bit of time to transition to natural alternatives. Many people experience no transition period, but either way, the switch is worth it! We have numerous positive reviews on our Facebook page about our Deodorant Crème and for many it is the ONLY natural deodorant that our customers can use. We highly suggest you give it a try!
